The relationship between health and housing is a frequent discussion when looking at building healthy and sustainable communities. Build Healthy Places Network, is working with communities in the Purpose Built Communities network to improve health inequity across the U.S. A recent case study series published by Build Healthy Places Network highlighted Renaissance Heights United as a community making a difference. Grounded in a range of valuable partnerships, the study takes an in-depth look how RHU and its partners crafted a shared vision to transform the vacant 200-acre site into an area providing family, education, and community health services as well as economic development opportunities for community residents.
