FORT WORTH, Texas (August 5, 2024) – Congressman Marc Veasey, local leaders, and community members joined Renaissance Heights Foundation at Happy Park on Monday morning to present an $850,000 investment for the park development in Renaissance Heights. This investment will support and enhance the construction of a new public park, named after the late Happy Baggett, located in Southeast Fort Worth.
The funding presented by Representative Marc Veasey is earmarked for the park phase of development. Happy Park is an important community asset that will serve as a link between multifamily residences, senior residences, and the future homeownership development. This project will feature new infrastructure, placemaking, and landscaping enhancements.
Soon to break ground will be Columbia Phase III multifamily residences, homeownership units, and the Happy Park development. The Renaissance Heights Foundation hopes that the improvements will build an even greater sense of community for the residents.
“We believe that prosperity starts with a place,” Mosley said. “If we can help create a community and bring people along, prosperity will exist here.”
